KCRW
September 8, 2005 by Dennis Baker
I recently discovered some shows about the business on KCRW. I downloaded the podcasts and listend to them in the office. The shows are “The Business”, “Martini Shot”, and “Theatre Talk”. “The Business” is the most regular and longest show of the three. It is hosted by a writer from Variety so it covers the major stories of the week, and has some pretty good interviews. “The Martini Shot” is more satatrical comments of one man in the industry, while “Theatre Talk” is short theatre reviews. You can check it out at KCRW’s website.

There is nothing worse than having a casting director, or director, seem not interested during an audition because they have seen a monologue way too many times. Check out the e-book to see if your audition monologues are considered over done.
