My experience is that they did have a good balance of academic and practical experience. The school believes that you can not teach without experiencing the form yourself. With that said, where I think the school is a benefit over conservatory programs, is that this program also believes that one needs to learn how to be a good teacher. So while you are experiencing the art form, you are also asked to look at it through the lens of a teacher. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quick response. I guess more specifically, I’d like to know if you thought the program was worth the time and expense. Also, do you think it helped further your career as an actor and/or a teacher? Do you think it opened doors for you for better jobs? Also, do you think the program had a good balance of academia and practical experience?

Sorry for the barrage of questions! And I know these are all a little general still and the answers are probably highly dependent on your specific career goals, but I’m just curious to know others’ experiences in the program.

Thanks for the response. I am not sure how to answer the question as it is pretty broad. Is there something more specific that you want to know? I think the more specific questions you can ask the better I can in helping you know if it is the program you want to attend.

I’m also interested in how your experience in this program went. I am a recently admitted student in the program (EDTC), though not yet commited. What was your experience like?
