Dollar Shave Club is Promoting Colon Cancer Awareness Month

You may have seen me tweet some pics about the great customer service by Dollar Shave Club.  They are so great I want to give them a shout out.

Dollar Shave Club cares about your butt inside and out, so this month for National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month they’re sponsoring the Colon Cancer Alliance.  March is the official Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month – a time to help people realize the dangers of a disease that will affect 5% of Americans in their lifetimes.

That’s right. There are right now 23 million Americans at risk for colon cancer, and we want to raise awareness about the importance of getting a colonoscopy.  The disease is 90% preventable if found early – so it could really be a matter of life or death whether or not you just get the procedure done.

I’ve teamed up with Dollar Shave Club – the fun brand that brings you high quality razors for just a few bucks a month – to save lives this month.  Their CEO – star of their famous, hilarious viral YouTube video – has a family history of colon cancer and is sharing his experience of getting a colonoscopy in all it’s radiant glory (ha, ha)!

There you can also find a “Share” button that allows you to promote the event yourselves on social media or email to a friend or family member.  For every share, they will donate $1 to Colon Cancer Alliance.

DSC is also donating 5% of their “One Wipe Charlies” (butt wipes for men) sales to the Alliance.

March may be half over, but there is still much to be done.  Go to the site, spread the word, and get checked out.  Together we can save lives!
